Brrrr....

Oh, how Izzy loves to go riding in the car! We have to spell out "Bye-Bye" for fear you will get knocked down getting to the door first. If Izzy thinks there might be a shred of hope that she gets to go, she will run over to where her leash hangs by the back door. I think this was the last time we went out with the windows down. She isn't quite sure why we leave the windows half up. If she spots a rabbit or cat she would leap out without hesitating. It has been too cold to drive with even a crack in the windows. She still likes to go, it's just not as much fun.

Happy Everything

Happy Everything,
It has been a while and I actually miss blogging. I love the Fall season. The colors are so beautiful and the weather has been great. I had the pleasure of taking some pictures for the Ream families. Trig and Tyson are sooooo cute! I do think I might be just a little prejudice but, they are really cute! The day was so perfect, the sun was warm the trees were in full color and there was very little breeze. It was a blast getting the boys to smile, look at the camera, and play in the leaves. We were able to get some really nice pictures of everyone.
I have been able to take pictures for both families for a few years now, it's fun seeing the changes in the photographs. I truly believe you can NEVER have too many pictures! Happy Thanksgiving to everyone.

There are more of my favorite photos at the bottom of this blog - please scroll down to view them all. HAPPY LOOKING!

May 20, 1981

Remember those Days...
I have been scanning and saving pictures to a disc. I thought this one would give someone a chuckle! Who are those hippies and where did all that hair go? I can still recall how hot it was in the church! I can also remember Loved Ones that are no longer with us. It is so much fun to look at photos and think back to times long gone. Where did all that time go? You can never have too many pictures! Terry and I are blessed to have both our parents still living. We are also lucky to have our girls living so close to home. I can't imagine not seeing them as often as we do. I love the saying "Live each day as if it were your last".

OKC Memorial

Things have been quiet here lately. I love the weather, especially the mornings! I have been working on a Heritage book for a friend. It started a little slow but is coming along nicely. It will be the first digital book I have completed. I hope to show parts of it when I am done. Sadie has been busy with school and getting her knee healed. Shelby works her shifts on the floor, helps with surgeries and takes her turn in the ER. Jared has been working long days planting wheat. Terry has been on the road quite a bit the last few weeks. Oh yes, Izzy has been making sure the squirrels aren't spending too much time in the backyard. It's a tough job but someone has to do it! Took a couple of days last week and went to OKC with Terry. The weather was so nice we walked down to the Memorial Site again. It was so pretty and peaceful. It is still hard to believe that someone could justify doing such a horrible thing.

QUIET WEEKEND...

Well it's Labor Day Weekend and the weather couldn't be better. Sadie had her third scope procedure on her knee Friday. Hopefully, it will be her last. School is going good for her and she seems to be excited about her progress. Izzy is sure happy to see Bailey. Finally, someone to chase through the house. Her afternoons get long with only the two of us everyday. Terry has been cooking ribs on the smoker and golfing today. I have been playing "Florence" the nurse
and housekeeper!
I am working on a 12x12 Digital Heritage Book for a friend. I am excited about how it is looking and anxious to see the finished product. I have also started a couple of projects for the holidays. The year is quickly passing by! I hate the fact that the older and SLOWER I get, the faster time goes. Enjoy.

Plate Full!

Lately, it seems GOD has been heaping our plate full! I know that he won't give us more than we can handle but.... I'm not complaining (too much), for Terry's sake, we need to empty a little off or get a bigger plate!
It's been a few weeks since I have even thought about my blog. Things have been crazy around here. I have had some more tests ran on my back and might be seeing some progress to finding out how to fix it. I'm keeping my fingers crossed! Sadie has been having trouble with her knee. She goes into have a scope procedure Sept. 4. I hope this will help with her discomfort. She is in full swing with her school and seems to be doing well.
With the wonderful rain we have been getting, T hasn't been getting to golf as much. If it's not raining-than he's mowing and mowing and mowing...
Shelby and I had a Great weekend in Tulsa going to the Creative Keepsakes Scrapbooking Convention. We took some neat classes and managed to bring home some more supplies for our habit! It was nice to get away for a few days.
Izzy loves to go with us in the car. She loves to put her head out the window and stick her long nose up in the air, while her large ears flap in the wind. She hasn't quite figured out that when she sees a cat or rabbit that she can't take off chasing after them! I don't think we would ever catch her or get her stopped.

Anniversay!

Yesterday, was Shelby & Jared's 1st Anniversary! Terry and I along with Sadie helped them finish off their special day with a cookout. We ate alot alot alot of food! Started off with some wedding cake and ended with steak and crab legs. It was oh so gooood. I am so proud of the kids. It's a big adjustment starting a new life with someone. There is a lot of giving and sharing involved.
Last week's weather was really nice. We could use some rain. I am afraid this week is going to be really hot and dry.
I am gearing up to get back into scrapbooking the girls' pictures. I fell behind a great deal!
I am going for my last injection of shots in my back this Weds. I hope for improvement. If you have an extra pray that you can spare, send it my way.
Izzy has been quiet this morning. I think her day yesterday was a little too much.

Peaceful Mornings!

I never get enough of mornings! The beginning of each day has a wonderful stillness about it. To walk outside and feel the awakening of the town. To know what an amazing gift God has given us, can be intoxicating. So much in life is taken for granted. It's the small things that we so often forget to be thankful for.
Sadie and I completed a Baby Girl scrapbook this last weekend. A gift for a special friend. It was nice helping her and seeing the pride she took in doing this for someone else.
Izzy had a busy week tormenting Bailey (Sadie's Boxer). Izzy enjoys the company. She showed Bailey her "hunting" skills in the backyard with the squirrels and birds. Bailey's techniques are a little different. Her approach is not as subtle! She uses the "Bolting Bulldozer" affect. Needless to say, Izzy was not impressed.

New Week!

Well... It's a new week. Last week I found out that I had a bulging disc that was pushing on my sciatic nerve! Of course, it is unrelated to my leg or foot problem I've had for the last 10 years. I received one of three injections (right above my tailbone) that will hopefully decrease my discomfort level. Terry has been soooo good with all of my problems. I keep waiting for him to kick me to the curb! The girls are busy working, which is good. It's not like you can do anything in this heat. Terry was in a golf tourn. this weekend. It's never too hot to golf. Dad & Mom are getting ready to go to Colo. for a month. I am getting started back up on the girls' scrapbooking. I have got to finish their albums!!! Izzy? Well, Izzy got a haircut last week. Let me just say, it's a little short! The groomer cut her beautiful ears too short. She has a pixie cut. You know like our Mothers use to give us! I keep telling her she is still beautiful. I love feeding the squirrels. But Izzy LOVES to chase them. Every time we go out the back door, she walks really slow like a lion on the prowl. She slowly sticks her head out of the garage and proceeds to step quietly towards her prey! A few times the great hunter forgets that she has one last step off the porch and looses her balance, giving Mr. Squirrel a chance to run up the tree all the while giving her a good scolding! She never seems to tire of this game. What a Hoot!

Farmland Craze!

Oh My! I created a place on FaceBook. A friend got me to sign into "Farmland" and I sadly report that I am addicted to it!!! You create a person like yourself and plant crops and trees. You can also raise animals! I am not a game person but this is crazy! The Fourth of July is this weekend and it's going to be another "Hot One". I'm not sure what our plans are but Izzy and I will be staying Cool. If possible I would like to make a prayer request for myself. I am having a little problem with my back and have to have an MRI this week to see if they can find the problem. Wish me well.

Hot!

It has really started to get hot here. I am thankful that I have the luxury of staying indoors most of the afternoon. We enjoyed a baby in the house last Friday. Izzy loved his pillow he laid on. I'm not sure she loved sharing the attention! T and I went to another movie last weekend. I love anything with John Travolta! This one was great! "The Taking of Pelham 123" Another great actor is Denzel Washington. I can't decide if the "Land of the Lost" will be worth it?

Summer

It's starting to warm up! I love the sun, but hate the heat. Izzy and I are scrapping a little. She is such good company. T has been golfing a lot and the girls are staying busy. Terry and I went to the new movie "Angels & Demons" last week. It was better than I had anticipated. I love watching Tom Hanks. The girls and I went to Wichita shopping Saturday. We had a really nice time and didn't spend too much money! I have been working on a couple of 8x8 baby books. I hope to have them completed next week and will try to get some pictures up for viewing. The only thing missing will be the pictures! I have a baby girl and baby boy album available.

28th Anniversary!

Tomorrow will be my 28th wedding anniversary to my best friend. I have known T since we were in kindergarten together. I have had no regrets in my marriage and believe the next 28 plus some years will be even better. We have grown a lot together since we started our lives with each other back in the 80's. My proudest moments have been our two daughters that God gave us to raise. They have turned into two beautiful women. Shelby is a RN living in Alva with her husband, Jared. Sadie lives in Enid. She is working on getting her Radiography Degree. We are fortunate to see the kids quite often. The month of May is always busy for us. Shelby's BDay falls on the 11th, Sadie's on the 17th, and our anniversary on the 20th.

Did I mention I have been married 28 Years! WOW!!!

First Time!

This is my very first post to my new blog! I'm not sure how this will work but I've had fun creating it. Izzy and I spend alot of time together so for the most part I will share her daily events. This is the day I got her! She was pretty dirty! The first time I looked into those eyes I knew that she would be very
special to me.
